Six calls.
Just you and me.
By the end, you'll have your own chart setup, your own watchlist, your own trading plan, and the habit of journaling every trade.
★★★★★ "I would have never been able to do this. I've already made real money in just two and a half months and it was all you." Member of Moms Who Trade (Africa) · Individual results vary
Built for moms who want a skill, not a scheme.
We teach Bitcoin, stocks, gold and silver in plain language, without the bro culture, the jargon, or the idea that you need to sit in front of charts all day.
- You want to understand what you're looking at, not copy someone else's signals.
- You've got 15 to 20 minutes a day, not 5 hours.
- You'd rather practise with fake money until your process is solid.
- You learn best when someone sits beside you and answers your questions.

Hi, I'm Mel.
I'm a mom of two girls, and before trading I had no real career direction. We launched a baby clothing brand in 2019 and had to close it when our second daughter was born. For two years after that I didn't earn my own money, and I felt it.
Then my husband sat me down and taught me to trade like a complete beginner. I was below average at high school maths. I learned to read a chart, took my first real trade, and the profit bought me my own MacBook. That was the moment it became real.
I started teaching my friends around our kitchen table in Cape Town. Three hours later they were placing their own paper trades. That table is where Moms Who Trade started.
Today we slow-travel with our girls, homeschool on the road, and I trade around family life. Everything I teach you in these six calls is exactly how I do it myself.
Mel
A taste of what we'll cover.
Free lessons from Mel's YouTube channel. In your calls we go through all of this on your screen, at your pace.
Three things I'll never tell you otherwise.
Trading fits around your family
Not the other way around. Missing a trade because you were with your kids is never a failure.
Patience is the edge
Most of the time the right answer is "not yet". We wait for the market to come to us.
Moms make good traders
You already manage risk, chaos and ten things at once, every single day.
Six weeks. One call a week.
Group courses move at the group's pace. These calls move at yours. Every call ends with homework you do before the next one.
Your chart, your indicators, your first paper trade
Set up TradingView, add the MWT indicators, open a paper trading account.
What every tool is actually telling you
What each indicator answers, and why a trade only qualifies when they agree.
The watchlist and how to trade it
A short list you know well, alerts, and a 10-minute daily check.
Putting it together to set up a trade
Entry, stop loss, target and size, all decided before you click anything.
Running through trade ideas together
You drive, I sit in the passenger seat. Real charts from your watchlist, live.
Journal, goals and your trading plan
The habit that keeps you improving long after our calls end.
- A weekly 1-hour call with me on Google Meet, booked at a time that works for you.
- Every call is recorded and sent to you afterwards.
- A notes page after every call: what we covered, key takeaways and your homework checklist.
- From Call 2, the first 10 minutes are homework review. Your wins, your confusion, your mistakes.
- Paper trading first. You decide if and when to trade with real money, and with how much.
- A laptop or desktop (phone charting works later, but set up on a bigger screen)
- A free TradingView account
- The Moms Who Trade app (free)
- About 15 to 20 minutes a day for homework
A skill that's yours to keep.
- Your own TradingView layout with the full MWT indicator setup
- A personal watchlist and a 10-minute daily routine to scan it
- A pre-trade checklist you can run on any chart
- The ability to plan a trade with a stop loss, target and position size before you click anything
- At least 10 paper trades logged in your journal, with notes on what worked and what didn't
- A written trading plan and a 30-day goal in the MWT app
- The confidence to say "not yet" to a trade that doesn't qualify
Your homework lives in the MWT app.
Lessons, the position-size calculator, your trade journal and goal tracker, all in one place. Free on the App Store.

Good questions to ask.
I've never traded. Is this too advanced for me?
No. Call 1 starts with setting up TradingView from scratch. Mel was below average at high school maths when she started. The quiz above shows how your six calls would be paced for where you are now.
Do I need money to trade?
Not to start. We practise with paper trading (real charts, fake money) until your process is solid. You decide if and when to use real money, and how much.
Do I need to pay for TradingView?
No. The free plan allows 2 indicators per chart. The full MWT setup uses 5, so you can either upgrade (the Essential plan is around $13 a month on annual billing) or stay free and swap indicators in and out. Mel recommends only upgrading once you're sure you'll keep going.
How much time does it take each week?
One 1-hour call a week, plus about 15 to 20 minutes a day of homework.
When are the calls?
Calls are on Google Meet and booked at a time that works for you. The Meet link is in your calendar invite, so there is nothing to install on a laptop. Every call is recorded and sent to you afterwards.
Is this financial advice?
No. Mel shares her method and her journey. Trading carries real risk and you can lose money. You make your own decisions.
